Functional Application Specialist for 3DX Electrical

Job description

As a Functional Application Specialist for 3DX - Electrical, you will spearhead the design and development of engineering features within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, particularly focusing on the 3Dexperience (3DX) platform and its Electrical components. Your work will drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness across our engineering activities, directly influencing our projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Converting engineering requirements into functional specifications for application development.

Collaborating with stakeholders to identify issues and create effective solutions.

Submitting Service Requests (SRs) and Enhancement Requests (ERs) to software vendors when necessary.

Designing and implementing application processes and enhanced features.

Participating in User Acceptance Testing for new functionalities and platform updates.

Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.

Managing the integration of applications on the platform and those connected to the 3DX system, including the 3DX portal.

Coordinating with the Engineering Support Manager to organize and develop training programs that educate users on the (new/improved) functionalities of the 3DX platform in our workflows.

Providing functional assistance to PLM/CAD users.

Creating and preparing training materials, guides, and user manuals for 3DX.

Your qualifications

To thrive as a Functional Application Specialist for 3DX Electrical, you should possess:

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally in shipbuilding or electrical engineering.

Proficiency in the Dassault 3Dexperience (3DX) platform.

Familiarity with Electrical design principles and experience in functional application management.

Strong command of the English language; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

Willingness to work at our locations in Vlissingen and Schiedam, Netherlands.
