For our client in Schiedam we are hiring a Technical Specialist Rules & Regulations.
A prominent organization is looking for a Technical Specialist in Rules & Regulations for the Plans & Arrangements discipline. In this essential position, you will act as a vital link between engineering and the intricate framework of maritime regulations. Your knowledge will be crucial in ensuring that our statutory plans align with ship specifications, industry standards, and regulatory obligations, meeting the expectations of all stakeholders. You will work closely with various technical teams and external organizations, including classification societies and clients, to provide optimal technical solutions.

As a Technical Specialist in Rules & Regulations, you will join a basic engineering team, collaborating with plan and arrangement engineers to create statutory plans and obtain approvals from both class societies and clients. During the detailed engineering phase, your role will involve interpreting and translating relevant norms, rules, and regulations into tailored and effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Research, analyze, and interpret applicable norms, rules, and regulations, as well as client requirements for Plans and Arrangements (P&A) deliverables.
Draft regulatory frameworks specific to projects based on relevant norms and regulations.
Ensure that all applicable norms and regulations are readily accessible to the necessary teams.
Develop a design basis for the Engineering Department.
Propose well-supported alternatives when deviations from the regulatory framework are required.
Assist project engineers in applying norms and regulations to their technical solutions.
Adapt to evolving situations and stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Plans & Arrangements department.

Supplier Quality Engineer

For our customer in Zeeland we are in search for a Supplier Quality Engineer
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of key equipment for advanced naval vessels. Your role will involve evaluating products and manufacturers, conducting site assessments, and managing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). You will play a crucial role in producing detailed evaluation reports, tracking actions, addressing non-conformities, and ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and managing suppliers, identifying and addressing delivery or quality issues as part of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA).
Collaborating with the Project Quality Manager to define and enforce relevant qualification criteria for compliance and performance.
Identifying corrective actions, managing their implementation, and escalating issues when required.
Planning and conducting field surveys and supplier qualification audits based on risk assessments.
Coordinating and overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring all prerequisites are met.
Acting as the primary contact during site surveys, audits, and FATs, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Performing verification and validation against specifications during FAT, and managing non-conformities.
Ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of actions and corrective measures resulting from FAT.
Supporting the monitoring, expediting, and reporting on hardware and delivery schedules, as well as coordinating logistics for transport and shipping.

For our client in Schiedam we are hiring a Engineer Combat Systems.
As an Engineer Combat Systems, you will support technical activities related to the design, installation, verification, maintenance, and refits of Combat Systems for naval vessels. You will engage with above-water and underwater sensor systems, as well as weapon, command, and control systems. Your efforts will contribute to the integration of these systems into a comprehensive naval combat suite.

Key Responsibilities

As the Engineer Combat Systems, your primary duties will include:

Analyzing and revising basic and detailed Combat Systems packages for existing and/or new products based on relevant information and specifications.
Implementing improvements for the Combat Systems packages and providing guidance to team leads, technical specialists, and relevant internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Understanding the execution and synchronization of project activities related to all deliverables and obligations of subcontractors.
Supporting the contributions of subcontractors and suppliers during project preparation and execution.
Assisting the technical subcontract manager for Combat Systems in defining, establishing, and validating functional and physical interfaces.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications.
Supporting the Proposal Department and engineering and production teams by delivering quality engineering products.
Participating in contractual milestones, tests, and trials, such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT), as an accepting party.
Assisting the warranty authority with any identified warranty issues.
