Nouvall Engineering Services, located at Oostelijk Bolwerk 7 in Terneuzen, hereinafter referred to as “Nouvall”, respects your privacy and processes your personal data in accordance with the applicable legal requirements. In this privacy statement, we explain how we handle your personal data.
 

General

This privacy statement applies to the processing of your personal data by the following companies:

  • Nouvall Engineering Services B.V.

  • Nouvall Engineering Services Nederland B.V.

  • Nouvall Engineering Services Belgium B.V.

Through this privacy statement, we provide insight into how and for what purposes we process your personal data and any sensitive personal data. For the processing of this data, as described in this privacy statement, we are the data controller. As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the processing of your personal and sensitive personal data.
 

Personal data

We process or may process the following general personal data: first name, last name, date of birth, citizen service number (BSN) or other national identification number, marital status, home address, email address, landline number, mobile number, IP address, or other contact information.

If you work with us—whether via an employment agreement, assignment agreement, or otherwise—we will ask you to complete a “start form” and to confirm your consent for us to process all data obtained through this form. In addition to the general personal data listed above, we may process both general and sensitive personal data provided through this form.
 

Purposes and legal grounds for processing personal and sensitive personal data

We process your personal and sensitive data for the following purposes:

  • To contact you by phone if requested

  • To communicate with you in writing or electronically

  • To fulfill the contract or agreements we’ve made with you

  • For our customer and supplier administration

  • To improve our services, manage commercial relationships, and for marketing purposes

  • For the administration and management of our personnel

  • To comply with legal obligations

  • To protect society or ourselves

We process your data only on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • You have explicitly given us consent

  • Processing is necessary to protect vital interests (e.g., in the case of accidents or incidents)

  • Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or other regulatory standards, codes, or obligations

  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or agreement made with you

  • Processing is based on legitimate interests, such as running our business, improving services, maintaining our market position, protecting our company and shareholders, safeguarding employees, clients, and suppliers, and for administrative purposes

We will not process your personal or sensitive data for other purposes without your consent.
 

Third parties

For the purposes listed above, we may use service providers who act as processors on our behalf. These processors only act according to our instructions and are bound by data processing agreements that require them to ensure adequate protection of your data and to uphold your rights.

We ensure that your data is only processed or stored within the European Economic Area (EEA) and will not be transferred outside of it without your consent.

In certain specific cases, we may be required to share personal data with government entities, public authorities such as the police, fire department, healthcare providers, legal bodies, and/or regulatory agencies.

Aside from the above, we do not share your personal data with third parties unless it is necessary for the execution of an agreement or we are legally required to do so.
 

Your rights as a data subject

As the owner of your personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR. If you wish to exercise them, you can submit a request to us. We will respond as soon as possible, and no later than four weeks, unless the GDPR or other laws provide otherwise. Your rights include:

  • Right of access – you can request an overview of the personal data we hold about you

  • Right to rectification – you can request correction if your data is incorrect

  • Right to be forgotten – you can request that we delete your personal data

  • Right to data portability – you can request that your data be transferred to another organization

     

Website visits and cookies

Cookies are small files that may be automatically stored on or read from your device (such as PC, tablet, or smartphone) when visiting a website. This happens through the web browser on your device.

Our website uses cookies or similar technologies that store and/or read information from your device to enable the proper functioning of the website (technical or functional cookies) and to analyze website usage for improvement (analytics cookies).

Our website also uses social plugins with links to platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
 

Security measures

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data, including measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, modification, unlawful or accidental destruction, and accidental loss.

Only employees who need access to your personal data due to their role will be able to view or process it. All employees are bound by confidentiality obligations. We have also made arrangements with third parties. Every third party that processes your data on our behalf has signed a data processing agreement. This agreement specifies the purpose of the processing and the required level of technical and organizational security measures.
 

Data retention

We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which they are processed. You may contact us to inquire about specific retention periods.
