Job Opening: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
About the team
Within the Digital Channels department, squad Momus is responsible for the local web release process in the Netherlands. The team ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of key digital platforms, including the public website, the online customer portal, and the mobile app. This is all based on a globally reusable platform (OneApp & OneWeb), which is critical for mobile and web-based customer journeys across multiple countries.
Your role
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of digital platforms. You enjoy working with monitoring dashboards, overseeing application chains, and coordinating with other teams. You’re an engineer who loves automating solutions to make your work easier. You have experience giving presentations and workshops and possess strong communication skills. You speak and write fluent English and are a true team player who enjoys participating in the social activities of the team and organization.
Tasks and responsibilities
✅ Design, build, and monitor Grafana dashboards for real-time system performance insights
✅ Maintain error dashboards to quickly identify and address issues
✅ Help other teams gain insights into the availability of their features
✅ Take responsibility for the resilience and availability of critical services
✅ Execute quality checks on software changes
✅ Apply resilience engineering principles and best practices
✅ Manage certificates and ensure compliance with security standards
✅ Experience with (Major) Incident Management, postmortems, and follow-ups
✅ Work with Azure DevOps
✅ Knowledge of continuous integration & delivery (CI/CD)
✅ Experience with JavaScript is a plus
