Job description
Voor onze opdrachtgever in de regio van Brussel, zoeken wij een Linux System Engineer.
Role Overview
• Responsible for Linux Red Hat administration and day-to-day operational management
• Perform system patching and updates on Red Hat servers using Satellite
• Manage server provisioning and decommissioning through Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
• Handle incident management and ensure timely resolution of Linux-related issues
• Identify and resolve recurring problems by developing new procedures or automation scripts
• Act as a proactive communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and an autonomous mindset when handling operational challenges
Your qualifications
Technical Skills Overview🟩 Expert Level
• Ansible Scripting: Extensive hands-on expertise in automation and orchestration
• Bash Scripting: Deep experience in Linux shell scripting for automation, monitoring, and optimization
• Linux Operations: Proven expert in Linux system administration and performance management)
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux: Advanced system configuration and operational expertise
• Red Hat AAP (Ansible Automation Platform): Expert in automated provisioning and lifecycle management
• Red Hat Insights: Skilled in proactive monitoring, compliance, and system maintenance
• Red Hat Satellite: Expert-level experience with patching, updates, and system provisioning at scale
• Scriptura: Expert in document composition and output management
🟨 Advanced Level
• Incident Management: Strong experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service restoration
🟧 Intermediate Level
• ITIL: Solid understanding of IT service management and best practices
• VMware vSphere: Experienced in virtualization, VM management, and infrastructure operations
• ServiceNow: Competent in ITSM processes, ticketing, and workflow management
• Brocade SAN: Knowledge of storage area network configuration and maintenance
• IBM Storage: Proficient in storage provisioning, optimization, and monitoring
• Veeam Backup & Replication: Skilled in backup and recovery solutions for virtualized environments
• GIT: Experienced with version control and collaborative development workflows
