Your qualifications
Roles & Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain a new enterprise-grade datastore for mortgages data exchange
• Optimize and support existing data systems and flows
• Migrate legacy systems and data pipelines to modern solutions
• Ensure IT Risk & Security control compliance, and participate in audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions
Required Skills:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Java backend development
• Strong experience with Java APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• At least 8 years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Proficient with Oracle RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Solid grasp of data quality, integration patterns, and architecture
• Fluent English communication (spoken and written)
Bonus Skills:
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kafka Streams API, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry
• Knowledge of Linux and scripting
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
• Understanding of banking IT Risk & Security standards
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
• Capability to automate test cases and perform end-to-end deployment tasks
