Job description
For our client in Antwerp we are hiring a Quantity Surveyor.
For our client in Antwerp, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support an industrial construction site. The role focuses on quantity surveying across several construction packages, including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
You will work as part of a multicultural, integrated project team and will support the subcontract administration process on site. In this role, you will report to the Subcontracts Administrator, with overall reporting lines towards the Subcontracts Administration Manager.
The work requires accuracy, structure and a good understanding of how construction progress, measurements, contractor documentation and commercial evaluations connect in a live project environment.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
• Check and approve unit price measurements based on drawings issued for construction.
• Review and approve as-built measurements based on as-built drawings submitted by construction contractors.
• Verify quantities and related commercial evaluations in line with the contract preambles and method of measurement.
• Prepare and issue weekly measurement status reports for each contract.
• Follow up with construction contractors to ensure timely submission of measurement documentation.
• Maintain a clear and audit-ready filing structure for all measurement records.
• Liaise with contractors to verify monthly Progress Payment Certificates.
• Review the evaluation of extra works requested by contractors and/or the client.
• Support the analysis of contractor claims and contractual changes.
• Assist with the preparation of contract revisions and official contractor correspondence.
• Monitor official correspondence between the client and contractors, and flag urgent issues to the Subcontracts Administrator.
• Follow up bank guarantees, insurances and other contractor documentation, including expiry dates.
• Participate in weekly subcontracting meetings with subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of meeting notes and the monthly subcontract report, including extra works issued during the month.
Your qualifications
• Engineer, technical or relevant degree.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within industrial plants or construction site environments.
• Strong written and spoken English. Dutch is a plus.
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel and complex project files.
• Strong communication skills and a structured way of working.
• Comfortable working in an integrated team on complex projects.
• Accurate, practical and able to keep documentation under control.
• Team player who can follow up with contractors in a clear and professional way.
• Eligible to work in Belgium.
• Available to work on site in Antwerp.
