Job description
For our client we are looking for a Project Planner (Primavera P6).
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing the complete schedule for the construction of advanced naval vessels using Primavera P6. Building a modern naval ship is a highly complex process, involving thousands of activities and intricate dependencies. Your resource-loaded planning will serve as the backbone for the entire project, guiding it from concept and design through production and final commissioning. Your precise scheduling will be essential in turning these sophisticated ships into reality.
Your Role
In this position, you will create a detailed baseline plan in close collaboration with Project Managers, team leads, and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks and dependencies are captured. You will continuously monitor and analyze operational schedules to quickly identify delays or bottlenecks, enabling proactive solutions. By initiating and implementing process improvements, you will help maintain smooth workflows throughout the project. Additionally, you will prepare accurate progress reports and hour forecasts to provide stakeholders with valuable insights. Managing project data for multi-project planning will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring effective coordination and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive baseline schedules in partnership with project teams and subcontractors, covering all activities and dependencies.
• Monitor and analyze project progress to identify delays and risks, taking corrective actions promptly.
• Implement process improvements to overcome challenges and maintain efficient workflows.
• Prepare detailed progress reports and accurate forecasts for stakeholders.
• Manage and consolidate project data for portfolio planning and resource optimization.
• Coordinate logistics requirements to ensure timely delivery and efficient supply chain management.
• Participate in discussions and negotiations on import/export requirements, incoterms, and customs compliance to guarantee smooth operations.
Your qualifications
We are looking for professionals who meet the following criteria:• At least five years of hands-on experience in project scheduling with Oracle Primavera P6, preferably within shipbuilding or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• A proven ability to create and manage highly complex schedules involving tens of thousands of tasks and intricate dependencies.
• Solid understanding of resource-loaded planning and portfolio-level multi-project scheduling.
• Expertise in risk identification and mitigation, as well as implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring and interpreting operational plans, quickly spotting delays and bottlenecks.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth collaboration between IT, engineering, and production departments.
• Excellent professional references, as a security clearance will be part of the recruitment process.
• Permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport are mandatory. Candidates holding an EU work visa or possessing both EU and non-EU nationality and/or passports cannot be considered due to military project requirements.
