Job description

For our client in Antwerp we are hiring a Precommissioning Planning Engineer.
We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Precommissioning Planning Engineer for a greenfield petrochemical project in Antwerp. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing precommissioning activities to ensure the successful startup of the plant.
This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management, and precommissioning processes. Proficiency in English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement precommissioning plans and schedules (L3/4) in alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of precommissioning activities.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to precommissioning processes.
• Prepare detailed precommissioning progress measurement system.
• Monitor and report progress of precommissioning activities, ensuring adherence to schedules
• Support Precommissioning Manager in taking strategic decision aimed at maintaining the timeline and beat agreed milestones.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team during precommissioning activities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on precommissioning status and challenges.
Your qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in precommissioning planning and execution, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of precommissioning processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Proficiency in English is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• Professional certification in Oracle / Primavera P6.
• Experience with greenfield projects and large-scale petrochemical plants.
