Job description
For our client in the Amsterdam region we are hiring a (Junior) Interior Engineer.
The Interior Engineering discipline is responsible for the complete technical development and realisation of superyacht interiors. This scope includes architectural elements such as stairs, floors and ceilings, as well as fixed interior outfitting like bars, lounges and tailor-made furniture solutions.
As an Interior Engineer, you play a key role in converting design concepts into technically robust and buildable interior solutions. You work at the intersection of design, engineering and production, ensuring that interior systems meet the highest standards in quality, functionality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:
• Engineering and detailing of superyacht interiors from concept to production
• Producing 3D models and technical drawings to support manufacturing and installation
• Verifying designs against Class, Flag and project-specific requirements
• Assessing and improving designs with a focus on feasibility and execution
• Anticipating technical challenges and contributing to effective solutions
• Coordinating closely with engineers, designers and production teams
Your qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a comparable technical education
• A strong interest in engineering complex interior systems within a technical environment
• Understanding of interior design principles, detailing and construction methods
• Experience with CAD and 3D modelling software
• Structured, precise and quality-driven working approach
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly valued:
• Engineering within shipbuilding, yacht building or a related technical industry
• Interior-focused engineering in marine, architectural or high-end residential projects
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Cadmatic and/or Siemens NX
• Familiarity with maritime regulations or classification standards
