Voor onze opdrachtgever in de regio van Brussel, zoeken wij een Enigneer MIC and Logistics.
Summary – Scope of the Project

The project involves the design and construction of new offshore grid infrastructure in the Belgian part of the North Sea to support the transmission of renewable energy. The main objective is to establish an artificial island that will serve as an energy hub, connecting offshore wind production to the mainland grid. It will also provide a connection point for future interconnectors with other regions in the North Sea, thereby contributing to a wider integrated offshore electricity network.

The project scope includes:

Construction of an artificial island equipped with high-voltage transmission infrastructure (HVAC and HVDC).

Installation of offshore 66 kV and 220 kV AC substations located on the island.

Laying of six 220 kV AC cable systems to connect the island to the mainland.

The offshore operations team is seeking an Engineer Marine and Island Coordination + Logistics, responsible for logistics (personnel and materials), temporary accommodation on or near the island, and the transport and installation concept for the high-voltage topsides and modules. This role also supports the coordination and management of marine and island-related activities.
Your qualifications
Service expectations:

The Engineer Marine and Island Coordination + logistics:

• Reports to the Offshore Operations Manager;
• Will setup a temporary accommodation and logistics concept, create the required specifications and ensures an in time contract;
• Will support in managing these temporary accommodation and logistics contracts;
• Will liaise with the different packages (Island, Cables and Substation) and their contractors to ensure efficient • Marine and Island operations;
• Will join workshop, HAZIDs, review sessions related to the logistics concept and the Marine and Island related topics of the EPCI contractors
• Will perform vessel audit together with MWS and the expert of the relevant package

Hard skills and soft skills:

• You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in the offshore sector is a must
• Experience in the energy sector is a plus
• Education: Engineer
• Experience in offshore logistics and transport operations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Working structured, independent and precise
• You are a smooth, proactive communicator and a resourceful accountable team player
• A quick learner

Languages:

• Fluent in English

Working hours & workplace:

• Full time
• Main office in Brussels (Belgium), however site visits of the different contractors and vessel audits to be foreseen
