Job description
For our client in Terneuzen, we are looking for a Construction Supervisor E&I.
We are looking for an experienced Construction E&I Supervisor for a large project, also flexibly deployable for portfolio area projects in upcoming years at the Terneuzen site. The E&I Supervisor monitors daily work of E&I contractors, ensures workplace safety, and oversees the schedule all in accordance with the Engineering Package. This person independently coordinates with other disciplines such as Piping-Mechanical, Civil, Scaffolding and EH&S.

• Be a safety ambassador by championing and following EH&S Procedures
• Check on daily basis if contractors perform their work safely and professionally. Direct intervention if necessary, or in consultation with EH&S supervisor and Construction manager if in doubt
• Carry out thorough Start Work Analyses in accordance with the issued permits
Works with:• Engineering department - for feedback and/or consultation for technical solutions/omissions
• Contractor(s) – record progress, changes and issues in the field or during progress meetings
• Plant representatives (gatekeepers, manreps, IVer, etc.) - to align on scope activities
In execution of the work:
• Follow-up of all activities as described in the Engineering Package and Contracts
• Take decisions about scope changes, by validating the scope with the package
• Keep administration of scope changes per contractor
• Checking and approving safe work permits as prepared by contractors
• Inspection of the quality of the work delivered, or organize this with third parties.
• Solving technical issues/clashes, if needed in consultation with the engineering department.
• Monitor and forecast the contractor schedule and provide input to Construction Scheduler
• Monitor handover with Mechanical Completion checklists to confirm expected quality of work
Your qualifications
Education/ experience• Secondary training level 4- Electric and Instrumentation techniques or equivalent diploma and VCA VOL (Dutch safety passport) or equivalent.
• In possession of Driver's License B
• Communication in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
• Minimum 5 years of experience in working in petro-(chemical) industry.
Technical competences
• Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Knowledge / being familiar with process/ petro-(chemical) installations
• Knowledge of control systems & standards for electrical installations
• Knowledge of electrical installations (MDP, SDP, motor drawers, circuits, etc.)
• Mastery of all the basic techniques required for the installation of Instrumentation, like: P- and dP transmitters, flowmeters, level meters, temperature measurements, control valves, etc.
