Document controllers

The Document Controller is responsible for the correct flow of the documents relating to a project.

The tasks of a Document Controller can include:

  • Requesting the required data and maintaining contact with internal and external stakeholders for creating the planning documents.
  • Checking documents for accuracy (e.g. revision number)
  • Monitoring delivery times of documents.
  • Expediting goods according to purchase orders.
  • Submission of the planning documents for approval by the customer.
  • Careful archiving of documents and correspondence in the databases and systems.
  • Supervising inspections, managing data files and taking care of all administrative tasks.
