Pipe stress engineers
The Pipe Stress Engineer works for the Piping department and is mainly engaged in making stress calculations. During the production process, pipelines can deform, mainly through the influence of temperature.
A large part of the work of the Pipe Stress Engineer consists of making strength and flexibility calculations of pressure equipment and piping systems according to (inter) national standards such as DIN, and ASME. The Pipe Stress Engineer works closely with the Piping Designers and Engineers within a team to find the optimal piping configuration.
