Civil, Structural Engineers
The tasks of a Civil & Structural Engineer include the following:
- Designing concrete and steel constructions in close cooperation with other specialists, together with the design of other necessary aspects of industrial installations such as roads, parking spaces and underground pipe systems;
- Providing calculations and specifications for foundations and concrete and steel constructions;
- Compiling work descriptions and calculating budgets;
- Supervising the draughtsmen and constructors assigned to the project;
- Ensuring that the project budget and schedule are adhered to;
Knowledge of software such as (SCIA) ESA PT Staad Pro and Technosoft is often important.
