Welding Operations Specialist

The Welding Operations Specialist plays a key role in setting up, ensuring quality, and continuously advancing welding processes throughout the manufacturing cycle. This position is responsible for creating welding procedures, refining workflows, and making sure all industry regulations are met. The specialist drafts welding guidelines and serves as a vital communication bridge between engineering, production teams, and customer demands. By applying state-of-the-art welding technologies and industry best practices, they contribute to both production efficiency and product excellence. Additionally, they oversee research on materials and handle welding-related documentation to ensure superior production results.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Designing, implementing, and updating welding procedures, including WPS documentation, in collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Refining and protecting welding processes to boost efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.

Evaluating the weldability of materials to determine the most effective welding techniques.

Working alongside engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturability and interpret welding guidelines.

Creating and updating welding work instructions, checklists, and job documentation.

Assisting in the adoption of digital tools related to welding and quality management systems.

Providing project-based support by preparing welding packages and overseeing their execution.

Participating in the ongoing assessment and improvement of department processes.

Supporting the development, transfer, and retention of knowledge within the team.

Adhering to all HSSEQ policies and procedures.

Je profiel

A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 7-10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5-7 years of experience.

In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and industry standards (such as NEN 3834).

A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, welding technology, and quality assurance systems.

A minimum of IWT certification, with comprehensive knowledge of IWE.

Positive references, as a security screening will be part of the hiring process.

Applicants must have permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport. Those holding an EU (work) visa, or possessing dual EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport, are not eligible due to the specific requirements of the projects.
