In the Proposals Department, the Tender Engineer for Asset and Maintenance Management plays a crucial role in the conceptual and contractual design of the Integrated Asset and Maintenance Support plan. This position is vital for preparing winning tender packages related to the construction of advanced naval vessels. Within the military framework, this area is known as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). As a member of a multidisciplinary project team, you will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to develop a commercially viable and appealing proposition. Your proactive mindset, combined with strong analytical and digital skills, will be essential for tackling complex solutions. Additionally, your writing abilities will enable you to present compelling documents that effectively support your figures and proposals, ultimately persuading the customer. Following a successful tender, you will ensure a seamless transition of your work to the engineering and service departments for detailed engineering and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering a comprehensive Integrated Asset and Maintenance Support tender package, which includes technical documents, Integrated Logistics Support specifications, and contract specifications, all formatted to be compelling and persuasive.
Contributing to the analysis of requirements, ensuring that all necessary specifications are accurately drafted and clearly understood by stakeholders.
Supporting the quotation (RFQ) processes and evaluations within the tender team and among (sub-)suppliers to facilitate preliminary supplier selection, budget planning, and cost estimation.
Engaging in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding the technical and commercial aspects of the proposed Asset and Maintenance Support (and/or Integrated Logistic Support - ILS) solutions.
Assisting in the evaluation of cost estimates provided by both external and internal stakeholders.
Collaborating with internal engineering and service teams to optimize project outcomes.
Je profiel
To thrive as a Tender Engineer for Asset and Maintenance Management, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
A minimum of one year’s experience in crafting successful tender packages, ideally for complex manufacturing, maintenance, or naval shipbuilding projects.
Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to produce compelling content that includes intricate technical details and specifications.
A commercial mindset that allows you to create financially attractive and viable forecasts and propositions.
A Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree, equipping you to manage complex data from various sources in Asset and Maintenance Management, Technical and Logistics Services, or Asset Life Cycle Support.
Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken, with Dutch language skills being an advantage (or a willingness to learn).
Openness to occasional international travel.
