Vacature omschrijving
The purpose of the Site Social Compliance Officer role is to assure that all staff on site, currently over 50 nationalities, is compliant with the labour and related social standards and regulations, as defined by Belgian law, local regulations and international standards. This includes the verification of social and legal documents, time records and payslips and accommodation.
Daily social compliance check of workers on site, with a focus on non European labour migrants.
Work closely with the other social compliance officer, the security team and with social officers of the contractors on site to assure social compliance.
Perform social inspections and spot checks on site.
Identify, categorize, document and report social non-compliances.
Register complaints in our grievance mechanism and follow up on light ones, assist the ESG Manager with handling the serious ones.
Participate in the investigation of social incidents and internal and/or external complaints.
Support the ESG Compliance Manager in the performance of his duties and daily report to him.
Je profiel
Minimal 5 years’ experience on in Social Performance, Human Resources or Security;
Minimal 2 years’ experience on a construction site;
Experience in chemical, oil, and gas or petrochemical setting is a bonus;
Highly motivated, achievement oriented team player;
Rigorous, pay attention to details;
Neat administrative and reporting skills;
Pragmatic hands-on problem solving attitude;
Ability to interface effectively with people of all levels, both internal and third parties, and with wide-ranging cultural backgrounds;
Fluent verbal and written Dutch & English communication skills;
