Maintaining a daily Site Diary
Ensuring that safe working practices relating to Lifting works are adhered to by close liaison with the Safety Officer, informing him of proposed work areas and activities
The Lifting Supervisor shall familiarize himself with the arrangements made for any heavy lifts and his involved responsibilities in accordance with the Project requirements
The Lifting Supervisor will ensure that the Lifting Check List is correctly completed in liaison with other discipline supervisors prior to any lifting operations
The Crane Check List is correctly completed
Ensuring the crane is positioned in accordance with the Lifting Plot Plan
Maintaining close liaison with the heavy lift contractor representative who will control all lifting operations
Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment, such as structural beams, metal tanks, at construction site
Monitoring daily progress within the area of assignment and keeping records of quantities installed
Evaluating Contractor Lifting studies
Overseeing and supervises all field lifting operations and trades test of contractor riggers as and when required
Inspecting all lifting equipment, to ascertain that have been properly tested and certified as per applicable codes and regulations
Checking schedules crane and riggers
Inspecting the quality of work on a day to day basis, and ensuring that drawing data and specifications are adhered to
Monitoring the movement of any abnormal loads on site ensuring that the load traverses the site safely using the authorized routes. Monitoring material deliveries and anticipate requirements
Items of equipment to be erected are rigged to the Crane/Lifting Equipment using recommended ‘Lifting Points’ complying with the method statement
Prepare and follow up the call-off for the crane contractor in coordination with the other discipline supervisors and the requests of the other sub contractors.
Take care of the management of access to the construction site and circulation within the site and eventually prepare and follow up the necessary permits to circulate, to close road, to hold an area etc. according to the site procedure.
Check and follow up the studies, the necessary permits and the activities themselves for special and non-special transport to and from the construction site coming from barges, warehouses, storage areas etc.
Has proven interpersonal skills.
Strong Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Autocad, Naviswork etc).
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Have solid background of covered discipline.
Have a minimum of 5 years experience in heavy lifting Supervisor and exceptional transport (including jacketing, SPNT etc.)
