Data Engineer (3DX)

As a Data Engineer, you will be crucial to our exciting initiatives, contributing to the design and enhancement of cutting-edge naval vessels. Your main duties will focus on data processing, maintaining data accuracy, and entering information into 3DX, our advanced PDM/PLM tool. You will collaborate with both internal and external systems, items, and parts information, directly aiding engineering project teams. Your contributions will facilitate the seamless progress of the engineering processes for the naval vessels involved.

Key Responsibilities

Inputting data into the PDM/PLM system, utilizing your skills in 3DX and Microsoft applications. This data may consist of equipment specifications from suppliers or system description documents.

Ensuring and maintaining the integrity of data within your area of responsibility.

Participating in engineering reviews that depend on the data you manage.

Collaborating with engineers and Technical Subcontract Managers to validate incoming data and establish, define, and test functional and physical interfaces.

Identifying any inconsistencies in data completeness and reporting them to relevant internal stakeholders.

Assisting Technical Subcontract Managers and Integration Engineers in ensuring subcontractors and suppliers provide the necessary datasets with the appropriate level of quality, completeness, and maturity.

Supporting the integration and engineering of various systems and components by processing Item & Part Request Lists (IPRLs) and/or executing bulk uploads within the PDM/PLM platform.

Aiding project team members in interpreting data received from subcontractors and suppliers, as well as navigating the PDM/PLM tool to retrieve required information.

Contributing to data analysis efforts and assisting in the creation of data visualizations (reports/dashboards) to monitor the progress of engineering data completeness.

Je profiel

A secondary vocational degree (MBO-4) in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience with data entry using PDM/PLM tools, databases, and Microsoft applications. Familiarity with Excel VBA coding and Power BI reporting is a plus.

A strong enthusiasm for collaborating in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

A foundational understanding of engineering concepts and practices, along with some engineering • experience.

Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards completing tasks within deadlines.

Experience in a maritime engineering setting is advantageous.

Willingness to travel occasionally to other locations as required.

Proficient command of the English language (both written and spoken) is essential, with basic proficiency in Dutch and/or German being a plus.

Strong references, as pre-employment security screening and investigation are standard in the recruitment process (due to the military context of the projects).
