For a company in Vlissingen area, we are looking for an Automation Engineer.
• As an Automation Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the construction and commissioning of advanced naval vessels with fully functional automated systems that meet rigorous regulations and standards.
• You'll craft automation concepts for intricate processes, covering a diverse array of onboard systems.
• Depending on the vessel's configuration, your designs may encompass critical defensive and deterrent systems.
• Your work will empower crew members to monitor and control all ship systems seamlessly.
• Operating within our 3DExperience engineering environment, you'll adhere to the V-model, overseeing the thorough review, testing, and verification of designs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Your efforts culminate in the deployment of a new naval vessel, poised to safeguard our freedoms worldwide.
• Developing functional descriptions and engineering documentation for automated ship systems.
• Creating and maintaining specification documents for automation components and installation procedures.
• Drafting comprehensive test and validation plans to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements during virtual and real-world testing phases.
• Managing vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project contributions.
• Reviewing and integrating vendor and subcontractor designs into vessel designs.
• Establishing standards and methodologies for detailed engineering and commissioning.
• Providing technical support and commissioning activities for contracted projects.
Je profiel
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA), preferably in maritime, offshore, or industrial settings.
• Proven experience in complex projects involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple suppliers/subcontractors.
• Familiarity with model-based system engineering (MBSE) in accordance with the V-model.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong references, as pre-employment security screening is standard.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport required.
