Job description
You will inspect and test welded joints, examining for visible defects, accurate dimensions, and joint strength. Using your knowledge of welding principles and metallurgical properties, you will ensure each project aligns with the blueprint, layout, and work order specifications. Your keen eye will detect flaws such as cracks, cold weld, spatter, and undercuts, ensuring every piece meets the high-quality standards.
You will be responsible for recording inspection data and analyzing radiographic test films of welded joints.
This role demands substantial experience in Welding Inspection and Quality Control.
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certification.
A minimum of 10 year experience in Welding Inspection and Quality Control.
Previous qualification and certification to a minimum ASNT Level II in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
