Job description
As a Test & Integration Engineer, you will be part of the Test & Integration team within the assigned project, managed by the Integration & Test Manager. You will be responsible for a specific portion of the project's test and integration program, including the development and execution of inspection plans for the production, testing, and trials of newly built naval vessels. In this role, you will conduct engineering reviews, provide general project support during production, tests, and trials, and manage follow-ups in case of deviations, coordinating with key suppliers as necessary.
As a Test & Integration Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Establishing the Test & Integration program in alignment with project design, progress, overall project objectives, and timelines.
Preparing and executing the project inspection plan for production and following up on any deviations based on the master project plan, specifications, and delivery deadlines.
Developing, executing, and coordinating test and trial plans according to the master project plan, specifications, and delivery deadlines, including Type Tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Participating in cross-functional engineering reviews and approvals with project teams and suppliers, encompassing all engineering disciplines and integration activities.
Monitoring and reporting on progress, including the performance of third parties, and intervening when necessary.
Delivering status reports during production, trials, and tests.
Collaborating closely with engineering departments to develop plans for Testing & Integration.
Your qualifications
To excel as a Test & Integration Engineer, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
A relevant technical bachelor’s degree (HBO) and experience in project management, manufacturing, and commissioning of complex new naval ships.
Experience in subcontract management and integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including combined propulsion installations for new ships.
Expertise in various engineering concepts and practices.
Proficiency in Dutch, German, and English, both written and spoken.
Familiarity with computer applications such as Office, SAP, IBM DOORS, and 3DX.
Strong references are required, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment process.
Important:
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are mandatory. Candidates with only an NL/EU work visa or those holding both EU and non-EU nationality/passport are not eligible due to the military nature of the projects.
