For our client in Vlissingen we are hiring a Technical System Integration Manager Verification and Validation specialized in Structures, Shipbuilding & Outfitting (Interim).

We are looking for an experienced interim Technical System Integration Lead for Verification & Validation, with a strong background in Structures, Shipbuilding, and Outfitting, to take charge of verification and validation activities within large-scale projects. If you have a solid track record in shipbuilding or related industries and are ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring technical excellence, we would like to meet you!

In this interim position, you will manage and coordinate the Verification and Validation (V&V) processes, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including engineering, quality control, and testing teams. You will oversee the integration of complex systems while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards for subcontracted work packages.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the preparation and submission of all V&V documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Managing a multidisciplinary team, including engineers and V&V specialists, to ensure successful project integration.
Tracking and monitoring requirements for comprehensive scope and ensuring seamless integration of systems and equipment.
Ensuring that all technical documentation meets specification requirements and maintaining traceability across all processes.
Coordinating the delivery and review of client documentation to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Facilitating Design Reviews and acting as the escalation point for any compliance or integration issues.
Overseeing test preparation and managing the test schedule across all relevant phases of the project.
Managing the planning and execution of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ensuring technical protocols are in place and met.
Participating in key contractual tests and trials (FAT, HAT, SAT), ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
Ensuring smooth project synchronization and communication, including effective collaboration with subcontractors.

Your qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with at least five years of experience in engineering, supplier coordination, and project management, preferably within shipbuilding or similar industries.
Strong expertise in Structures, Shipbuilding & Outfitting, with experience working on Class-regulated products.
Proven ability to manage complex systems and lead multi-disciplinary teams, subcontractors, and engineering requirements.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in German being a plus.
Key competencies: Customer focus, quality orientation, teamwork, leadership, planning, and strong communication skills.
Excellent references, as a pre-assignment security screening is standard in the recruitment process.
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with an EU work visa or dual nationality (EU/non-EU) are not eligible due to the security requirements of the project.
