In this role, you will be a key member of the standardization team within the Engineering department. Your primary objective will be to enhance consistency and effectiveness across components and processes, leading to cost reductions, risk management, and faster project timelines. You will collaborate closely with engineers across different projects, ensuring that all efforts align with standardization objectives. Your main focus will be on mechanical, structural, and outfitting engineering, working with various teams to create and maintain consistent project standards.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining 2D drawings for standardized components, ensuring uniformity and high quality.
Ensuring adherence to technical specifications, manufacturability, weight considerations, ergonomics, and safety standards.
Managing and updating standardization data within the PDM system.
Collaborating with teams in engineering, production, and procurement across multiple locations.
Engaging in technical discussions with suppliers and classification societies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Your qualifications
An MBO-4 (secondary vocational education) qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
A minimum of three years of relevant engineering experience.
Strong collaborative skills with attention to detail and efficiency.
Proficiency in CAD systems, with preference for experience in MicroStation.
Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with an EU work visa or those holding both EU and non-EU nationality/passport are not eligible, in accordance with the military nature of our projects.
