Site Civil Engineer

Job description

To support the Project Enineering Manager, in the performance of his/her duties, deputising as required.

Work closely with the Execute contractor to ensure that all Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) Engineering issues are properly resolved in a timely manner, that design changes are managed correctly, and that the facilities comply with all project and statuatory requirements and Stakeholder expectations.

Monitor site CSA construction work performed by the Execute Contractors and other third party designers/vendors/subcontractors, providing oversight and guidance, ensuring that all work satisfies project specifications and standards and meets or ideally is better than the project schedule and cost targets.

Support and improve coordination between: site and home office engineering, construction and engineering, with other functions and disciplines.

It would be advantageous if the candidate would also have the following background and work experience:

Major project experience with strong design engineering/procurement background and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and their interfaces.

Experience of field engineering on a major project oils and gas or petrochemicals construction site working with EPC contractors and their subcontractors.

Proven track record of delivering leading SHE performance.

Experience of supervising work in a Module Fabrication Shop.

Acting as an owners representative on a major project.

Specific Role Requirements:

Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline.

More than15 years’ experience in Engineering role it Oil and gas or Petrochemical setting.

Seasoned and experienced Engineer.

Sound knowledge of key disciple areas including:

Belgium Civil regulations and laws.

Roles and Responsibilities of Notifiable Bodies, and their equivalent.
