Job description
We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer (E&I) to be assigned to Antwerp for a new petrochemical complex in execution phase.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical and instrumentation activities.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather input for schedule development.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor progress against the schedule and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
Review and analyze schedule performance, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
Assist in resource allocation and workload management for E&I teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with procurement teams to align material delivery with project timelines.
Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on scheduling and planning.
Further develop Level 4 Construction schedules for critical works in liaison with subcontractors
Establish Progress system for Construction works and monitor it on a weekly basis
Record manhours expenditure and site presence (blue and white collars)
Consolidate Progress curves for Construction works based on above schedule and progress system
Attendance of Construction progress meetings with Subcontractors
Measure and make trends of construction productivity rates
Prepare weekly / monthly reports as required
Perform “what-if” analysis to advise project team with respect to most suitable solutions to be pursued from a timeline perspective
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, specifically in E&I projects.
Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent relational skills
