A leading company in the maritime sector is seeking a highly skilled and driven (Senior) Integration Engineer for Interior Design, specializing in Joinery for Accommodation and Technical Areas. In this vital role, you will play a key part in managing the subcontracting and intricate engineering of joinery and accommodation systems for naval vessels. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming design ideas into detailed technical specifications, supervising the engineering processes, and ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Developing functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors that align with customer and design needs.
Creating comprehensive technical specifications for joinery projects in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to identify appropriate materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
Assisting with quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to verify that completed joinery meets the established criteria.
Providing technical support and guidance to the production team, addressing any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Keeping detailed documentation of joinery specifications, modifications, and project milestones.
Working in close partnership with other engineering disciplines to ensure the smooth integration of joinery with various ship systems.
Staying informed about industry advancements and best practices related to joinery, applying them to projects as needed.
Your qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Architecture, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or in a comparable role, particularly with joinery in the maritime field.
In-depth understanding of joinery materials, methods, and relevant industry standards.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a talent for interpreting complex engineering information.
Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a notable advantage.
Positive references are required, as a pre-assignment security screening will be part of the recruitment process.
