Job description
Performing visual inspection of piping installation, including verifying piping material identity (pipe, valves, and fittings) and its conformance to the installation drawings
Verifying that welding inspection has been performed and joints have been released
Ensuring dimensions and alignment tolerances of the piping systems are as per construction specifications
Conducting in-process surveillance to verify compliance with specified piping erection procedures, including flange alignments, torquing, cleanliness, etc.
Performing piping walkdown inspections and completing punch lists; verifying that punch list items have been addressed in accordance with contractual arrangements
Reviewing and verifying the completeness of piping test packages (hydro or pneumatic) prior to testing Witnessing final piping tests
Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection to final acceptance of the piping systems
Maintaining an interface with the client to ensure all contractual and code requirements are met regarding the inspection scope
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas project piping inspection
Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, ShareFile, and Microsoft Teams
Experience in welding inspection or fabrication of piping and vessels to international codes (ASTM, API) is beneficial
Demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes (ANSI/ASME) and other piping system installation-related codes and standards
