Job description
As the Project Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee and refine the quality assurance (QA) processes for large-scale shipbuilding projects. You will be responsible for monitoring, advising, and reporting on quality matters throughout the project lifecycle. When quality deviations occur, you will lead root-cause analysis efforts and work to update the quality standards and policies to prevent future issues.
Key Responsibilities
Drive quality assurance processes and promote a culture of quality throughout the project.
Ensure all quality management systems, procedures, and standards are applied correctly.
Lead and manage the Project Quality team.
Develop and maintain the QA documentation system, ensuring all records are complete and up-to-date.
Participate in project and department meetings to track progress and report on quality issues.
Provide regular updates to project management on quality performance and risk mitigation.
Work closely with external Quality Assurance Representatives to share relevant QA information.
Your qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, ideally within the naval, defense, or shipbuilding sectors.
Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and processes, preferably in naval shipbuilding.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Business Administration, Maritime Technology, or Shipbuilding.
Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong professional background with positive references, as pre-employment security screening is a standard procedure.
Candidates must have permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates holding only an EU work visa or possessing both EU and non-EU nationality/passport cannot be considered due to specific security clearance requirements related to the nature of the projects.
