Job description
A leading organization is seeking a Project Manager for Production to oversee the construction process of ships or their modules. Given the global nature of shipbuilding facilities, you should be prepared for extensive travel and potential long-term assignments abroad.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and coordinating all production activities related to a shipbuilding project.
Ensuring the shipbuilding process adheres to established budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Offering insights and assistance in developing strategies, sequences, and approaches for the execution phase of the project.
Proposing measures or alternative solutions when timelines or quality expectations are at risk.
Leading a team of supervisors, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources.
Monitoring the actual construction, assigning tasks, and coordinating with supervisors and subcontractors.
Controlling project activities through documentation, analysis, verification, evaluation, and implementing corrective actions.
Providing advice on additional work and changes to the planned building processes.
Your qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing a production team on complex shipbuilding projects.
Strong experience in the production of intricate naval or offshore solutions.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in both English and Dutch, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively and/or work abroad for extended periods.
Strong references, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment process.
Important:
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are essential. Candidates with an EU work visa or those holding both EU and non-EU nationality/passport will not be considered due to specific military project requirements.
