Job description
As a Manufacturing Engineer in Outfitting, you will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of production by analyzing equipment layouts, workflows, and assembly methods within the construction segment of the shipyard. Your role involves determining the necessary parts and tools to meet production goals in line with product specifications. You will plan, design, implement, modify, optimize, and monitor manufacturing processes.
In your capacity as a Manufacturing Engineer for Outfitting, your responsibilities will include:
Providing detailed work instructions for production staff.
Maintaining the Material Take-Off (MTO) records.
Creating production drawings and documentation.
Supplying an engineering information package along with tool usage instructions.
Developing specifications for outsourcing activities.
Managing raw material orders efficiently.
Indicating quality control measures in accordance with the testing and inspection plan.
Overseeing the workflow of the structural manufacturing process.
Operating within established parameters for time, budget, and quality.
Ensuring clear communication across the organization.
Identifying shortcomings and proposing enhancements to management.
Your qualifications
To excel as a Manufacturing Engineer in Outfitting, you should possess:
A professional qualification MBO4 / bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
A comprehensive understanding of all phases of production.
Proficiency with manufacturing, engineering, and/or design software such as SAP, 3DX, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic/Inventor.
Strong command of both English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
