For our client in Zeeland we are in search for a Manager Technology & Innovation in Ship Maintenance

Job description

As the Manager of Technology & Innovation in Ship Maintenance, you will lead the development and enhancement of our product lifecycle support services. Your work will empower our naval solutions, focusing on technology advancement and commercial growth, ultimately improving ship operations and increasing the reliability and availability of products.

Key Responsibilities

Defining and executing a strategic plan for data-driven maintenance and crew training, aligning these initiatives with the company’s goals for lifecycle support and training services.
Leading a team of Data Scientists and Solution Architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for them to thrive.
Collaborating with internal teams across Engineering, Operations, Services, and Proposals to implement innovative solutions within the business.
Managing the allocation of resources, budgets, and priorities for the Data Scientist and Solution Architect teams, ensuring efficient project execution and cost-effectiveness.
Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for your teams, providing regular updates and insights to senior management.
Staying current with industry developments and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and improve ship training, maintenance, and other Lifecycle Product Support services.
Building partnerships with vendors, research organizations, customers, and technology providers to leverage external expertise and resources.

Your qualifications

At least 3 years of experience leading innovation in maintenance, repair, and logistics support in the maritime or offshore sectors.
Expertise in data ethics, compliance, and security.
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
Proficiency in both Dutch and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent references, as a security screening will be part of the recruitment process.
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are required. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or dual EU and non-EU nationality/passport are not eligible due to project security requirements.
