Job description
The Interim Team Lead Combat is responsible for overseeing the project to construct the navel vessels. This position involves leading a team of technical subcontract managers who coordinate with combat system suppliers worldwide throughout all phases of the project, including installation and verification. The aim is to achieve complete integration of the combat systems. Given that these vessels are being built abroad with suppliers located globally, this role entails substantial and frequent travel for business and work abroad.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborating with the team and the Combat System Integrator to facilitate the integration vessel effectors into the Combat Management System.
Working alongside the platform engineering department to ensure effective system-to-platform integration of the effectors of the vessels.
Taking charge of delivering engineering services for the team.
Leading and participating in meetings with customers, suppliers, and the Combat System Integrator, as well as other internal departments involved in the project.
Managing resource planning for the team and ensuring that all members possess the necessary skills, in close coordination with the Sub-project Lead Combat Systems and the organizational structure.
Overseeing daily operations while also planning for short- and medium-term objectives for the team.
Coordinating with various internal and external parties, including other teams, vendors, and subcontractors, to maintain performance quality and ensure the execution and synchronization of combat system products and services.
Guaranteeing the development, validation, availability, and scheduling of engineering products and services within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Your qualifications
Over 6 years of experience in engineering and subcontract management, particularly in complex systems, preferably in combat-related fields.
Proficient in both written and spoken English, and German is an asset.
Proven experience working in large, intricate, multinational project settings.
Familiarity with a range of engineering concepts and practices, including the V-model.
Willingness to undertake extensive and frequent business travel or work abroad.
Strong references are required, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the hiring process.

Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are mandatory. Candidates with only an EU (work) visa or those holding both EU and non-EU nationalities and/or passports are not eligible due to the military nature of the projects.
