Job description

Our client is in search of a highly qualified and driven Integration Engineer Interior, with a focus on joinery for accommodation and technical spaces. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the effective subcontracting and detailed engineering of joinery systems for our naval vessels. Your knowledge will facilitate the conversion of design concepts into accurate technical specifications, guide engineering processes, and ensure adherence to rigorous quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
As an Integration Engineer Interior, your main duties will involve:

Formulating functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on both customer and design requirements.
Developing comprehensive technical specifications for joinery work, aligned with industry regulations and standards.
Partnering with procurement and supply chain teams to identify suitable materials and vendors for accommodation joinery and insulation.
Assisting with quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to confirm that completed joinery meets the necessary standards.
Offering technical support and direction to the production team, addressing any challenges that may arise during the project.
Keeping thorough documentation of joinery specifications, modifications, and project developments.
Collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of joinery with other ship systems.
Staying informed about industry advancements and best practices in joinery, and applying them to relevant projects.

Your qualifications

Qualifications and Skills: To thrive as an Integration Engineer Interior, you should have the following qualifications and qualities:

A Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or in a similar capacity, specifically focused on joinery in the maritime sector.
Comprehensive knowledge of joinery materials, methods, and industry standards.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting complex engineering data.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A keen attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality work.
Familiarity with the construction processes and regulations pertaining to naval vessels is advantageous.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a notable advantage.
Reference verification will be conducted as part of the standard pre-employment security screening process.

Additional Information:
Candidates must possess permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport.
