In the role of Innovation Lead for Naval Ship Signatures & Vulnerability, you will play a pivotal role in advancing technology within the organization. You will drive the formulation and implementation of groundbreaking strategies, ensuring that new technologies are seamlessly incorporated into our operations. Your expertise in the intricate areas of signatures and vulnerability will allow you to collaborate effectively with both internal and external experts.
Key Responsibilities
Crafting and executing a detailed innovation strategy, complete with clear objectives and timelines for naval signatures and vulnerability.
Keeping abreast of new technologies and trends related to signatures and vulnerability, evaluating their potential effects on naval operations and products.
Working alongside internal and external specialists across various departments to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.
Acting as a key technical contributor to the product development team, offering practical expertise and insights.
Supporting the integration of new technologies and practices in signatures and vulnerability by collaborating with relevant teams.
Leading and managing research and development projects, ensuring they meet performance, budget, time, and risk management goals.
Setting and monitoring key performance indicators to evaluate the success of innovation initiatives.
Promoting the significance of technology and innovation within the naval sector, effectively communicating the advantages of adopting new technologies to stakeholders.
Creating an innovative culture by organizing workshops, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing events.
Your qualifications
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, accompanied by a minimum of ten years of pertinent experience.
Deep understanding of regulations and compliance standards related to signatures and vulnerability.
Demonstrated experience in the R&D or engineering fields focused on naval signatures and vulnerability.
Familiarity with specialized research software tools and methodologies for signatures and vulnerability.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken, with a willingness to learn Dutch.
Strong references, as a pre-employment security check is a standard part of the hiring process.
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are essential. Candidates holding an NL/EU work visa or those with dual nationality (EU and non-EU) are not eligible due to the nature of the projects involved.
