Job description
This temporary position is for an Engineer in Technical Arrangements, with a 12-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient layout of systems and components to comply with stringent technical specifications while emphasizing maintainability, ergonomics, and operational safety. You will collaborate with various specialists, such as system engineers, safety professionals, and maintainability experts, to optimize the design of technical spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging in the design and engineering of technical spaces such as engine rooms, pumprooms, and steering gear rooms.
Contributing to the development of technical arrangements by conducting requirement analysis, creating concepts, and addressing weight estimations, ergonomics, and safety concerns.
Communicating the specific arrangement needs and options through drawings, visuals, and presentations to support engineering and procurement efforts.
Ensuring effective and timely communication with all involved stakeholders.
Collaborating with internal engineering teams to guarantee that engineering results are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
Your qualifications
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in design concepts and practices.
Experience working with advanced technological designs and processes, preferably in the context of complex new shipbuilding projects.
Proficiency in English (both written and verbal), with Dutch being a plus.
Familiarity with tools such as 3DX engineering or Solid Edge would be advantageous.
Strong references, as a pre-employment security screening is part of the recruitment process.
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid passport are required. Candidates holding an EU (work) visa or those with both EU and non-EU nationality/passport are not eligible due to the security requirements of the project.
