Job description
As a Senior Machine Learning Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing advanced machine learning models and image processing algorithms to drive semiconductor metrology solutions. Working closely with the Data and Analytics team within the Development & Engineering (D&E) department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing lithography products through computational, metrology, and control technology.
Primary Functions:
Develop machine-learning models, image processing algorithms, and signal processing techniques to enable advanced optical semiconductor metrology.
Implement scalable machine learning and deep learning applications tailored for distributed software architectures.
Design and deliver end-to-end subsystems, aligning with system specifications, costs, and project timelines.
Support Functions:
Collaborate with Research departments and product application groups to contribute to the development of new metrology methods.
Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of image processing and machine learning.
Management & Leadership:
Act as a senior engineer by guiding the R&D of advanced methods at the intersection of metrology data and physical knowledge.
Mentor and coach junior team members to foster expertise within the group.
Process & Improvement:
Contribute to the technical and competence roadmaps for Image Processing and Machine Learning
Propose and drive continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization and software architecture.
Additional Duties:
Generate patents to protect innovations.

Your qualifications
Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
Skills & Experience:
5-8 years of experience in Image or Signal Processing, Machine Learning, and Mathematical optimization techniques.
Lead author in one or more relevant leading conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS).
