For our client in Noord-Holland we are hiring a Cadmatic Specialist.

Job description

We are seeking a key user for a Functional Admin role who can guide others in utilizing the system effectively. The Cadmatic Specialist ensures the quality and accuracy of CAD models and/or PLM systems across various projects. This role is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date 3D library, ensuring that it meets the set quality standards and is accessible for ongoing projects. Additionally, the Cadmatic Specialist contributes to continuous improvements in both CAD and PLM systems and the associated processes.

The role also involves providing support to engineers and subcontractors on the models used in these projects. The Cadmatic Specialist plays a key part in refining and managing engineering processes within the CAD environment. The Model Management department is tasked with verifying the quality of 3D models and PLM data.

The Cadmatic Specialist contributes to the growth of the Engineering department by mentoring colleagues, enhancing quality standards of CAD and Teamcenter data, and collaborating with the manager on knowledge-building and innovation within the field.

This position operates within the Engineering department and reports directly to the Manager of Engineering Support (MES). The role also requires close cooperation with the Business Improvement Team (BIT) and Teamcenter management to standardize and optimize processes from the operational line.

Key Responsibilities:

Play an active role in identifying and suggesting improvements to work processes for better quality and efficiency.
Ensure that current projects follow correct procedures in the CAD/PLM systems.
Create and maintain models in the 3D library.
Support the BIT team in process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the Teamcenter Management Group to optimize and implement Teamcenter (PLM) use.
Provide clear work instructions in collaboration with key users of CAD and PLM software.
Advise and motivate the business in adopting Teamcenter features and solutions for yacht design and construction.
Develop and manage training sessions for the team.

Your qualifications

At least an HBO (Bachelor’s) level of working and thinking.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
In-depth knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications (preferably Teamcenter).
Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (NX/CADMATIC).
Experience with business processes in a technical or manufacturing environment.
Ability to document work processes and set standards.
Shipbuilding experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
