Cost estimators
The Cost Estimator, sometimes just called Estimator, is responsible for setting up (factor) budgets and generating single and multidisciplinary detailed budgets for new construction projects or major renovations. The Cost Estimator collects and analyses cost data and makes cost reports. In addition, the Cost Estimator helps to further develop the key figures for the specific market segments.
The tasks of a Cost Estimator can include:
- Analysing and evaluating client requirements;
- Collecting relevant information;
- Converting this information into clear project-specific budget and cost estimations;
- Compiling and writing cost estimations and budget reports;
- Performing risk analyses and drawing up realistic schedules and work follow-up;
- Collaborating on all cost estimate related activities with the Cost Engineer.
