Hardware engineers
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for designing control drawings of all electrical installations, such as machine controls, as well as low-voltage and process installations within the Industry and Infrastructure. The Hardware Engineer is responsible for designing and assembling the hardware for control panels and making calculations of load currents, overcurrent protection and short circuit calculations. Furthermore, he/she must adjust drawings where necessary. During a project, there is a close collaboration with Software Engineers.
The duties of a Hardware Engineer include:
- Analysing and designing electrical systems and systems within industrial automation;
- Designing and drawing electrical installations and panels;
- Supporting project groups within industrial automation;
- Making basic and detailed designs;
- Processing changes and revision drawings;
- Preparing and supervising projects for panel construction and industrial projects in oil & gas and chemistry.
