For our client in Zeeland province we are looking for a Test & Integratie Engineer Shipbuilding.
As a Test & Integration Engineer, you join the dedicated Test & Integration team within our naval shipbuilding projects. You take direct ownership of a critical segment of the overall test and integration program, ensuring the successful System Integration of our cutting-edge, one-off naval vessels.
Your core mission is to develop and execute the inspection plans, production testing, and final trials. You are the custodian of Requirements Compliance, ensuring your specific area meets stringent technical, quality factor, and contractual requirements throughout the entire lifecycle. Your work establishes the crucial Traceability between design documents and physical performance.
You provide essential project support and drive the timely follow-up and resolution of all deviations, effectively coordinating solutions with key suppliers and internal engineering disciplines to meet strict Certification standards.
Key accountabilitiesIn this role, your responsibilities will include:

Key accountabilitiesIn this role, your responsibilities will include:
• Program Setup: Establish the Test & Integration program for your specific area, aligning it perfectly with the project design, progress, overall project targets, and timelines. This includes defining the Requirements Management strategy for your domain.
• Verification & Validation: Lead the Verification / Validation activities for complex subsystems. Prepare and execute the project inspection plan during production and drive the resolution of deviations based on the master project plan, specifications, and delivery deadlines.
• Test Execution Ownership: Develop, execute, and coordinate detailed test and trial plans (including Type Tests, FATs, HATs, and SATs) based on specifications derived from standards like STANAG and MIL-STD.
• Cross-Functional Review: Participate in and contribute to cross-functional engineering reviews and approvals with project teams and suppliers across all engineering and integration activities, focusing on System Integration.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and deliver detailed status reports during production, trials, and tests, including the performance of third parties, intervening when needed to keep the project on track.
• Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineering departments to develop and refine strategic plans related to Testing & Integration activities.
Je profiel
• Relevant technical bachelor degree (HBO) combined with experience in project management, manufacturing, and commissioning of complex new-build naval ships.
• Demonstrated experience in subcontract management and the integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including combined propulsion installations for complex new-build ships.
• Expertise across a variety of engineering concepts and best practices (e.g., V-Model) and a proven understanding of Requirements Management and Certification processes.
• Good command of the English language all written and verbal, Dutch and German are considered a plus.
• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
