For our client in Zeeland we are hiring a Team Lead OHSE & Ergonomie.
As the Team Leader for Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, and Ergonomics (OHSEE), you will oversee the integration of all relevant regulations and legal requirements into the design process of naval vessels. Your scope of work will cover areas such as maintainability, human-machine interface (HMI) ergonomics, environmental considerations, and operational safety standards for both ships and their associated training infrastructure. You will guide a team of specialists focused on safety, environmental protection, and ergonomics, while also managing subcontracted packages. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for internal teams and external clients, ensuring project deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines, budgets, and contractual terms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring the OHSEE/AUE expert team and supervising subcontracted activities in line with project agreements.
• Coordinating all aspects related to ergonomics, safety, and environmental protection throughout the project lifecycle.
• Organizing meetings with client representatives on safety, environmental, and ergonomic topics, including recording key actions and outcomes.
• Defining project plans, monitoring schedules, and managing financial resources for OHSEE deliverables.
• Ensuring that designs adhere to all applicable national and international standards, while providing expert advice to project teams.
• Participating in supplier assessments and validating their compliance with project requirements.
• Overseeing subcontracted evaluations such as risk assessments, environmental analyses, and ergonomic studies.
• Handling identified non-compliances and working towards securing formal client acceptance.
• Supervising the verification and validation processes related to OHSEE with the client and classification societies.
• Offering guidance to project stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies concerning safety, ergonomics, and environmental impact across both vessels and training systems.
Je profiel
• A technical university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) supplemented with relevant industry certifications.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, analyze complex issues, and propose practical solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of German occupational health, environmental, and maritime safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Nebosh, HVK and arbeitssicherheit.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in complex engineering environments.
• Solide understanding of shipbuilding practices, including drafting and interpreting technical specifications.
• Strong affinity with regulatory compliance processes, supplier coordination, and large-scale project execution.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, SAP, IBM DOORS, and 3DX is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written command of both German and English languages.
• Possession of permanent citizenship and an EU passport is mandatory due to project-specific defense requirements.
