For our client we are hiring a Senior Network Design Engineer.
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Network Infrastructure Design Role (Network Readiness for Operations)
• Ensure alignment with IT Operations standards:
1) Hardware (Manufacturer, model, firmware) (e.g. Cisco, …)2) Software (version / patch level)
3) Configuration standards (naming, access credentials, parameters)
4) Receive handover from P1 project team (many small handovers)
• Manage IP schema
• 3rd level operations support during Construction
• Monitoring
• Support SIP activities (operations)
Je profiel
• Knowledge of Cisco platforms and products
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, WWAN design and implementation
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices
• Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
• Extensive knowledge and hand-on with network protocol
• Fluently English-speaking; Dutch is a good addition
