For our client in Zeeland province we are looking for a Senior Naval Architect.
As a Senior Naval Architect, you will be instrumental in shaping high‑end yacht designs by performing critical naval architecture analyses, steering design decisions, and offering expert guidance at every stage of the project. You carry out key naval architecture calculations that underpin the yacht design process and provide technical solutions throughout the project. You take ownership of the accuracy and completeness of your work and proactively suggest enhancements whenever design outcomes warrant refinement.
In this position, you will:
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare both draft and final stability documents and guide them through the approval process.
Execute and support inclining tests, including documentation, on‑site activities, and official certification.
Coordinate with classification societies, inspection agencies, and regulatory authorities, and follow up on any required actions.
Sea Trials & Project Support
Develop the necessary protocols for Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Take part in sea trials to confirm vessel behaviour and performance characteristics.
Deliver clear, precise, and professional reports on all findings.
Work closely with fellow naval architects, project engineers, and other disciplines to address progress, challenges, and technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement
Support the development and refinement of standardised engineering methods.
Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve processes, documentation, or calculation methodologies.
