Quality Manager Shipbuilding (Dutch speaking)

As the Quality Manager for Shipbuilding, you will lead initiatives to drive continuous quality improvements, establish strong quality control systems, and conduct supplier assessments for our naval shipbuilding projects. You will oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) team, offering guidance and reporting on any quality-related concerns. Your expertise will be essential in shaping our advanced naval programs. Fluency in Dutch is required, as key stakeholders include the Dutch and Belgian Navy. The role will involve occasional travel to our main office in Vlissingen, as well as visits to international shipyards and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the Quality Team: Provide leadership to ensure the team functions efficiently and remains aligned with project goals.

Creating and Enhancing Quality Policies: Develop and refine quality policies and frameworks, ensuring they evolve with project needs.

Managing Quality Processes: Oversee the implementation and coordination of quality assurance processes throughout shipbuilding projects.

Applying Quality Standards: Ensure that all quality management standards, protocols, and continuous improvement measures are effectively applied.

Communicating with Government Representatives: Serve as the primary contact for the Government Quality Assurance Representative (GQAR) and provide the necessary quality assurance information.

Je profiel

A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Management, ideally within the manufacturing or shipbuilding sectors.

Relevant QA Certification.

Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and production processes.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Technical) Business Administration or a related technical field.

Proficiency in both Dutch and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to travel to the Vlissingen headquarters and internationally as needed.

Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.

Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or who hold both an EU and non-EU nationality/passport are not eligible due to project security requirements.
