For our client in Zeeland we are hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer.
We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure supplier quality excellence across high-profile naval shipbuilding programs. In this key position, you will play a central role in refining and enhancing QA procedures used by suppliers involved in your assigned project. Your tasks will include performing in-depth quality audits at supplier locations throughout Western Europe and delivering expert support, follow-up, and thorough documentation of any quality concerns identified. Frequent travel within the region is an essential part of this role.

• Supplier Audit Leadership: Plan and execute quality audits at supplier facilities, document outcomes, and ensure follow-up actions are effectively implemented.
• Managing Supplier Quality Risks: Monitor risk levels through a dedicated register and implement actions to minimize exposure.
• Improving QA Systems: Take part in the evolution and integration of supplier quality standards tailored to project needs.
• Process Compliance Oversight: Ensure suppliers are correctly applying agreed-upon quality procedures and methods.
• Developing Supplier-Specific QA Plans: Build and apply custom QA strategies suited to each supplier’s capabilities and project roles.
• Reporting and Communication: Keep project stakeholders updated with structured reports on supplier quality performance and mitigation strategies.
Je profiel
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, preferably within the defense, shipbuilding, or other complex industrial environments.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and production standards, ideally within a shipbuilding context.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Quality Management, Engineering, Maritime Technology, or Industrial Business Administration.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is a must.
• A strong track record of conducting supplier quality audits and implementing effective risk control measures.
• Familiarity with international QA standards and the ability to translate them into practical processes.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Western Europe for supplier visits.
• Candidates must provide strong references, as security clearance is part of the recruitment process.
• Only applicants with a valid and permanent EU passport (and no secondary non-EU nationality) can be considered, due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved.
