For our client in Zeeland we are hiring a Plans & Arrangements Engineer.
As a Plans & Arrangements Engineer, you will play a key role in developing smart, efficient layouts for accommodation and technical spaces on board naval vessels. Your task is to turn complex design requirements into practical, well-organised arrangements that deliver top performance in safety, ergonomics, and functionality.
You will collaborate extensively with engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to merge diverse technical inputs into coherent and compliant designs. From early-stage statutory plans to detailed fabrication and installation drawings, you will contribute throughout the entire engineering process while ensuring strict compliance with all naval and classification rules.
Key Responsibilities:
You will collaborate extensively with engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to merge diverse technical inputs into coherent and compliant designs. From early-stage statutory plans to detailed fabrication and installation drawings, you will contribute throughout the entire engineering process while ensuring strict compliance with all naval and classification rules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create statutory plans and spatial layouts based on specifications, general arrangements, and relevant regulations.
• Perform engineering activities using both 2D and 3D CAD systems—such as Cadmatic and 3DExperience (CATIA)—within agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Produce detailed fabrication and mounting drawings that incorporate vendor and subcontractor information.
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure all designs meet requirements for usability, maintenance, and technical performance.
• Participate in technical reviews with stakeholders and present clear, practical proposals.
• Guarantee full adherence to naval, statutory, and class regulations throughout your work.
• Support ongoing improvement of internal processes, standards, and technical knowledge.
Je profiel
• Secondary vocational education (MBO-4+ or equivalent) in an outfitting-related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in outfitting engineering.
• Strong command of 2D/3D CAD and PLM software, preferably 3DExperience (CATIA).
• Good understanding of classification and statutory rules for both naval and commercial vessels.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on quality, teamwork, and delivering results.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Strong professional references; security screening will be required.
• Permanent EU citizenship and EU passport are mandatory due to the defence-related nature of the projects.
