For one of our customers in Belgium we are in search for a Legal Safety Coordinator Level A.
You will prepare and organise the health and safety program during construction, provide functional support and guidance to the HSSE Manager, working closely with the Construction Managers.
Your non-limitative list of key accountabilities will be:

• Coordinate the application of the prevention hierarchy principles during execution phase
• Update the safety and health plan
• Update the coordination file
• Update the post intervention dossier
• Organize collaboration and coordination of contractors at the construction site via coordination structure meetings
• Execute walk arounds at the construction site to verify if works are executed according legislation and project expectations
• Support Project, Construction and HSSE managers in resolving HSSE matters
Je profiel
• Safety Coordinator level A (Belgian Legal certificate)/Safety Advisor Level 1 (Belgian legal certificate)
• Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate discipline (mechanical, electromechanical, chemical)
• Sound knowledge of HSSE legislation in Belgium
• Fluent Dutch and good English communication skills
• 5 years of experience as legal safety coordinator
A big plus:
• More than 10 years’ experience in HSSE roles in Major Construction Projects in Belgium
• Strong planning and organizing ability
• Engineer degree
• Full time available
You will have to fulfil the tasks associated with those of a safety coordinator for the execution phase of the project as outlined in:
• Belgian Welfare law of 4 August 1996
• Royal Decree of 25 January 2001 concerting Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites
