For our client in the Zeeland region we are hiring a Infrastructure Engineer.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you take ownership of the design, deployment, and ongoing management of the core IT infrastructure. Your responsibility covers server platforms, virtualization layers, storage solutions, hardware, and cloud-based environments. You ensure that the underlying systems supporting complex, mission‑critical operations remain stable, secure, and performant.
In this position, you actively contribute to automation initiatives, system visibility, and compliance with rigorous industry and internal standards. Working closely with fellow IT specialists, you ensure infrastructure solutions align seamlessly with operational processes. Due to the critical nature of the environment, you participate in a 24/7 standby rotation.

Key requirements
• Administering and optimizing Windows and Linux server environments, including lifecycle management, patching, security hardening, and virtualization using Hyper‑V and VMware.
• Managing cloud and identity platforms, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, and access governance.
• Strengthening the security posture by implementing protective measures that reduce cyber risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Supporting business continuity by resolving infrastructure‑related incidents quickly and delivering reliable second‑ and third‑line support.
• Monitoring system performance and capacity trends, translating insights into concrete recommendations for future improvements and scalability.
• Designing, maintaining, and testing backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee availability of essential systems.
• Increasing efficiency through automation by writing and maintaining scripts in PowerShell or Python, and keeping technical documentation accurate and up to date.
Je profiel
• A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in IT or a comparable discipline. Candidates with an MBO‑4 diploma combined with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience are also welcome.
• Demonstrable experience in managing server operating systems and virtualization platforms. Strong hands‑on knowledge of · Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory services such as DNS, DHCP, and DFS is required.
• Practical experience with Entra ID, multi‑factor authentication, certificate services, and endpoint security solutions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and management tooling, including SCCM, as well as automation tools such as Ansible.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSA or MCSE, VMware, or Red Hat. ITIL Foundation certification is considered an advantage.
• A strong command of the English language. Knowledge of Dutch is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo a security screening and the ability to provide strong professional references.
• Availability to take part in a 24/7 standby duty roster.
